Syracuse University Department of Recreation Services is a space for administrative duties for the departmental of recreational services. This department oversees approximately 250 student employees working in the recreational services program. Of the 250 student approximately 15% utilize this space daily to get work schedules, meet with administrators and check email. This space is a hub for both students and administrators of the program.

The space prior to renovation was a former office space underneath a concrete sloped structure for bleacher seating to the adjacent pool facility. An industrial-looking structure was cleaned up and transformed into a long linear design element in the space.

This department wanted to create vibrant, colorful spaces for their new office. Colors and materials are lively to allow for orientation to the various program areas. The office spaces utilized large expanses of glass wall in furniture system to facilitate better teaming and communication between the different administrative personnel.
